Job Description

Short-Term Live-in Laundress in Scotland

A client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking for an experienced, live-in Laundress on the temporary basis for their private country estate an hour from Edinburg, in August 2026.

Your main duties for this role will Laundry. The ideal candidates will be switched on, thorough, able to take initiative, with high standards service. You willbe flexible to work shifts and enjoy working as part of a team. Accommodation could be provided if needed.

Must have an enhanced DBS.

Duties to include:

  • Full laundry service: washing, ironing, steaming, pressing
  • Care of fine fabrics
  • Shoe cleaning and polishing
  • Sewing & repairing
  • Packing and unpacking for travel
  • Wardrobe organisation
  • Hand washing delicate items
  • Managing dry cleaning and garment repairs

Days & Hours:

6 days per week. Working hours to be confirmed

1 full day off during week

Salary:

£20 to £23 gross per hour depending on experience.

Start:

Beginning of August for the whole month
