Basic Salary: £35,524 – £44,406 (includes shift allowance , premium payments etc)

This Shift Technician role is a permanant role based at Meadowhead WwTW & STC, Irvine (However will be required to work at other AESOps locations).
Reporting to the Team Leader, you will have responsibility for undertaking the safe and efficient operation/supervision of the Sludge and Waste water Treatment Processes. Working as part of a team your main duties will involve routine use of a project wide telemetry/SCADA system, the monitoring, control and optimisation of sludge & waste water treatment processes, carrying out initial investigations and rectification works, implement safe bypass or shutdown in advance of repairs by the maintenance team. This is a hands on role.
- Although not essential you will ideally be qualified in an engineering/science/process discipline or equivalent and have a minimum of 2 years process industry experience, preferably with an E/M/ICA background.
- Live within easy travelling distance of Meadowhead (for operational purposes call-outs)
- Work outdoors, work in a physically demanding environment and work with untreated waste water and sludges
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Have good IT skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Have a full driving licence
- Participate in out of hours call out when required
- Flexible attitude to work with a high level of self-reliance but be a team player
Normal hours of work are 39 hours per week on a rotating shift arrangement Monday to Sunday. This is based upon a continuing 06.00 to 14.00, 14.00 to 22.00, 22.00 to 06.00 shift cycle and 08.00 to 16.30 day shifts.
