Shift Operator
Salary range: 31,096 to 38,870 inclusive of shift allowances
Based at Leven, Fife, Scotland
We have a vacancy for a Shift Operator based at Levenmouth Waste Water Treatment Works, to operate and maintain the treatment works and sewage pumping stations in the local area.
Duties include the efficient and reliable operation of pumps and pipe systems, sewage and sludge treatment processes, site housekeeping, minor maintenance work and record keeping. Additionally, you will be expected to support and work closely with shift technicians and maintenance teams carrying out routine and breakdown work as required.
Relevant experience, although desirable, is not essential as full training will be given. However, a positive attitude, flexible approach and willingness to learn new skills are a must. The successful applicant will be expected to:
- Live within easy travelling distance of Leven
- Work outdoors
- Be of good health, as work can be physical/strenuous at times
- Possess some mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
- Have a desire to undertake training to acquire additional skills
- Have a full/clean driving licence
Potential candidates should be aware that the shift system will be based on a nominal 40 hour week using a (Apply online only), (Apply online only) and (Apply online only) rota, providing cover 7 days a week.
