Senior Transport Officer

Location: Waverley Court

Salary: £47,639 – £56,392 (annual). Hours: 36 per week.

We are looking for an individual to join our team as a Senior Transport Officer within the Specialist Team. The role involves delivering transport input to a varied and challenging range of planning cases, including road construction consents, quality audits, stopping up orders, strategy and policy development. The role also includes supervisory responsibilities for Transport Officer(s), contributing to change and improvement, and supporting professional development of colleagues.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide transport input to planning cases and associated approvals.
• Manage road construction consents, quality audits, and stopping up orders.
• Develop and implement transport strategy and policy.
• Lead and support a team of Transport Officers.
• Drive continuous improvement and customer focused delivery.

Qualifications and skills:

• Strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Understanding of quality assurance processes.
• Experience in project delivery and continuous improvement.
• Relevant professional qualifications in transport, planning or a related field.
