Senior Transport Officer – Waverley Court

Salary: £47,639 – £56,392, Hours: 36 per week.

We are looking for an individual to join our team as a Senior Transport Officer within the Specialist Team, committed to delivering an efficient, effective and customer focused Planning service and great places. The role covers transport input to a varied and challenging range and volume of planning cases, involvement with road construction consents, quality audits, stopping up orders, strategy and policy work, and includes a supervisor role for Transport Officer(s). You will be contributing to change and improvement, and supporting the professional development of yourself and your colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Transport input to a varied and challenging range and volume of planning cases
  • Involvement with road construction consents
  • Conduct and review quality audits
  • Manage stopping up orders
  • Strategy and policy development related to transport
  • Supervise Transport Officer(s)
  • Contribute to change and improvement initiatives and support professional development of staff

Qualifications

  • Strong sense of customer service
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Understanding of quality assurance principles
  • Appetite for project delivery and continuous improvement
