Senior / Associate Planner – Scotland (Glasgow / Edinburgh)
Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh (hybrid working available)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
The Role
An established and highly regarded planning and development consultancy is seeking an experienced Senior / Associate Planner to join its growing Scottish team. Based in either Glasgow or Edinburgh, this role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of complex and high-profile development projects across Scotland.
The successful Senior / Associate Planner will play a key role in providing strategic planning advice, managing planning applications, and supporting the continued growth of the business in the Scottish market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage planning applications, appeals and development strategies
- Provide clear, commercially focused planning advice to clients
- Interpret and apply Scottish planning policy and legislation
- Liaise and negotiate with local planning authorities and key stakeholders
- Mentor and support junior members of the planning team
- Contribute to client relationship management and business development activities
Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience in a planning consultancy environment
- Strong knowledge of the Scottish planning system and policy framework
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently and collaboratively
- RTPI membership (MRTPI or LRTPI) or working towards accreditation
- Experience operating at Senior Planner or Associate level
