You will play a vital role in providing personalised, person-centred care, guiding and empowering young people to reach the goals outlined in their support plans.
Responsibilities
- Building good relationships with our young people and encouraging them to achieve their goals.
- Plan activities in line with working towards goals and outcomes for our young people.
- Working in a positive way with parents and partner agencies to ensure the best opportunities are available for our young people.
- The ability to communicate and document important relevant information and any updates to management.
- Creating Care Plans and supporting Assistant Project Workers.
- Attending meetings as appropriate and to participate in the effective, supportive, and efficient working of the team.
- Having an understanding of the principles of safeguarding and child protection legislation.
- Supporting staff supervisions and spot checks.

Role Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience working with children with challenging behaviour and/or additional support needs in a residential setting.
- An SVQ 3 in social care or equivalent is essential.
- A valid UK driving licence
- An understanding of GIRFEC and curriculum for excellence is desirable.
- Experience of working with children and families.
- An understanding of the principles of safeguarding and Child Protection legislation.
- The ability to work in a positive, respectful and empowering way with young people, in order to promote good relationships and encourage achievement while being a positive role model.
- Experience and understanding in dealing with challenging situations.
Shift Pattern: Day and Night Shift, between the hours of 8:00am- 8:00pm.
