Senior Subsea Product Development Engineer
Role Overview
Lead Engineer, Product Development & New Technology focused on Subsea XT Systems. Accountable for bringing new products and designs to life from initial customer requirements through to approved delivery, ensuring engineering requirements are captured and solutions differentiate the company competitively.
The internal title for this role is: Senior Engineer, Mechanical, Product Design and Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Develop Subsea XT technologies that meet customer needs while engineering new and proven technologies and solutions.
- Generate new designs, detailed drawings, stack up drawings, bill of materials, calculations, engineering part information and lead qualification, system integration testing to meet customer requirements and industry standards.
- Ensure scopes are completed within the agreed timeline and budget, fully accountable for managing the plan, budget, risks, resources and stakeholder / change management.
- Lead global teams and work directly with all business functions with an in depth understanding of DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) principles.
- Provide technical guidance and peer reviews for engineering deliverables while coaching and mentoring other engineers and designers within a globally diverse team.
- Open and explore new opportunities and ideas, create new exciting patents and technology whilst conducting Freedom to Operate analysis and following market trends.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Design Engineering for Subsea Production Systems – in depth understanding of how engineering transforms into a real life product, experience with 3D models and detailed drawings using CAD software, deep understanding of GD&T and Design for Manufacture principles.
- Direct ownership and accountability with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and conflict, while coordinating several projects simultaneously.
- Deep knowledge of CAD tools CREO(PRO E) and TeamCenter / PLM Engineering packages.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering preferably Mechanical / Industrial / Petroleum. Willingness and desire to continue personal development. (Chartered Engineer desirable).
- Sense of dissatisfaction with the status quo, a positive proactive growth mindset, and comfort with failure.

Pay
- For Italy: Initial pay range EUR 51,200 to 70,400. The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.
- For Poland: Initial pay range PLN 208,000 to 286,000. No provisions of any collective agreement relating to pay will be applied.
