Job Description

The role:
This post will be based within Orthopaedic Outpatient Department in GGH. It requires extensive Orthopaedic experience, including knowledge and experience in Orthopaedic Dressings and Plastering, incorporating all aspects of Plaster Room and Orthopaedic Clinic work. Essential experience includes being a senior Band 5 or already working as a Band 6.
Phlebotomy skills and student nurse mentoring are also essential.
Supervision, learning and development within a Band 6 role for other staff members.
You will work as part of a multi disciplinary team in the clinical area and Plaster Room within GGH Orthopaedic Outpatient Department.

- Gartnavel General Hospital
- Monday to Sunday

From 1 April 2026:
Agenda for Change full time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part time working hours will be reduced on a pro rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
