We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with a passion for Windows software development. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building commercial software products and serving as the technical lead for Windows within a cross platform engineering environment.
You will work closely with teams developing software across Windows, macOS, and Linux while taking primary ownership of Windows architecture, implementation, and platform quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain commercial software products for Windows.
- Serve as the primary technical expert for Windows related development and platform issues.
- Collaborate with engineers working across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and quality initiatives.
- Investigate and resolve platform specific performance and reliability issues.
- Contribute to build systems, automation, and release processes.
Required Qualifications
- 5-10 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of modern C++ and software engineering best practices.
- Experience shipping commercial software products.
- Excellent debugging and problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
Preferred / Bonus Experience
- Experience with Windows internals or low level system programming.
- Cross platform development experience on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Experience with security focused software, including:
- Encryption
- Secure communications
- Anti tamper systems
- Software licensing technologies
- GUI development experience using Qt or JUCE.
- Familiarity with Python, CMake, and CI/CD systems.
- Passion for Windows platform technologies and delivering exceptional user experiences.
