Job Details

Job Title: Senior School Caretaker

Pay: £13.87 p/h

Contract: Permanent

Type of Employment: Full Time

Hours: 37.5 Hours Per Week

Shift times: 06 00 / 07 00 / 08 00 / 14 00

Location: AXIOM Education – Edinburgh – Forrester High School

Responsibilities

  • Undertake all required training and follow Mitie’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
  • Maintain equipment in clean, safe working order and understand all cleaning materials and chemicals used.
  • Ensure proper maintenance, cleaning, security, and safety of school premises and grounds.
  • Respond to helpdesk jobs, unlock/lock buildings, and carry out porterage and room setups.
  • Perform PPM tasks including fire alarm tests, emergency light checks, and support out-of-hours building use.

Qualifications

  • Previous caretaking experience (preferred but not essential).
  • Reliable, hardworking, and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Open, honest, self driven, and determined.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and confidentiality, with willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
