Fixed term/Secondment opportunity for 6 months to cover leave

Existing permanent employees must first discuss this opportunity with their substantive line manager and complete the secondment request form prior to interview. The secondment request form and the associated secondment policy can be found on the HR/Recruitment intranet pages and must be completed and signed by the substantive line manager. The Candidate should then take it with them to interview as confirmation that an agreement has been granted.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, enthusiastic registered nurse to be developed further within the Immunisation Team in NHS Forth Valley. The successful candidate will support the Team Leads in the management of the nursing team and liaise closely with other departments and agencies involved in health protection and health improvement as well as with partner agencies and local communities to raise awareness of immunisation needs and facilitate immunisation activity.

The Immunisation Team provides advice and support on immunisations and assists in supporting many of the national immunisation programmes currently delivered in Forth Valley. The successful candidate must be looking to contribute significantly to the development of the Immunisation Service in Forth Valley and to the development of staff.

They must be able to provide clinical leadership to the team through support and education. Previous experience in Immunisation is essential. Applicants should be able to adapt to unpredictable workloads and to meet the physical and emotional demands of working with moving deadlines and competing demands.

Ability and willingness to travel throughout the area of service delivery is essential for this post.

Employment conditions

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will reduce from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.

NHS Forth Valley may be able to offer sponsorship for certain roles, provided the post meets the minimum salary threshold and any other required criteria.
