Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Rosyth, Fife. Full time, Permanent.

As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that some of the United Kingdom’s most complex engineering programmes meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Working within our Marine sector, you will help drive continuous improvement and quality excellence across projects that support national defence and critical infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality assurance activities and provide day-to-day guidance across projects.
• Conduct internal, supplier, and customer audits in line with the audit schedule.
• Develop and improve quality processes and procedures across programmes.
• Lead detailed quality investigations and support corrective actions.
• Analyse quality data and produce reports to identify trends and drive improvement.

Essential Experience

• Demonstrable experience in quality assurance within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading or supervising quality activities or teams.
• Strong understanding of quality assurance principles and standards.
• Proven ability to review, improve, and implement processes.
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified to a recognised trade standard with a relevant academic qualification such as HNC or SVQ Level 3.
• Membership or working towards membership of the Chartered Quality Institute desirable.
