Senior Project Manager – Defence & Nuclear
Location: Glasgow (Hybrid Working Available)
Are you a Senior Project Manager with a background in civil infrastructure, looking to deliver projects that truly make an impact? I am currently working with a well-established and highly regarded organisation that has secured a strong pipeline of work across the defence and nuclear sectors for the next 3-5 years. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Project Manager to support a complex and growing portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering critical infrastructure projects within a secure and highly regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the delivery of complex civil and infrastructure projects across the full lifecycle
- Provide client side project management from early stage design through to construction and handover
- Manage programme, cost, risk, quality and stakeholder engagement
- Establish and maintain effective governance and reporting structures
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors and stakeholders
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
- Support and mentor junior team members
- Contribute to bid submissions and business development activities
About You
- Strong background in civil engineering or infrastructure project delivery
- Experience delivering projects within regulated environments (defence, nuclear, rail, water or similar)
- Working knowledge of NEC contracts
- Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder environments
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
- Experience working with or alongside government or public sector clients is beneficial
Requirements
- Minimum 5-6 years’ experience in a project management role within civil infrastructure
- Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Professional accreditation (APM, PRINCE2 or similar) desirable
