Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading global engineering, design, and project management consultancy in their search for a Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant to join their well established Environment team in Glasgow.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced environmental professional looking to work on a diverse range of high-profile infrastructure and development projects across the UK. The successful Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant will play a key role in delivering environmental impact assessments, supporting consenting processes, and providing strategic environmental advice to major public and private sector clients.

The Role:
As a Senior/Principal Environmental Consultant, you will:

Manage and deliver complex environmental projects from feasibility through to consent and post-consent stages.

Coordinate Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and environmental management plans.

Liaise with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members.

Contribute to business development activities, proposals, and client relationship management.
About You:
-
Degree qualified in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.

Proven experience managing environmental projects, ideally within the infrastructure or energy sectors.

Strong understanding of UK EIA regulations and environmental planning processes.

Excellent communication and report-writing skills.

Chartered (CEnv or equivalent) or actively working towards chartership.
