Senior Management AccountantGlasgowSalary up to £55k (DOE)
Lusona is supporting one of our global clients in the service sector to source suitable applicants for the post of Senior Management Accountant. The successful candidate will be a key member of the group accounting team to ensure the preparation of statutory accounts and monthly management information.Main Responsibilities will include:
- Ownership of specific monthly figures and reporting.
- Reviewing and commenting on the monthly bad debt provision and the fx revaluation calculations.
- Monthly review of the management accounts for other office locations globally and providing adequate support to the local finance teams (e.g. reviewing balance sheet reconciliations).
- Reviewing management accounts for a specific location and supporting reports prepared.
- Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations focusing on trade debtor control accounts, provisioning for doubtful debts etc.
- Supporting the annual budgeting process.
- Contributing to the year end audit and statutory reporting tasks e.g. coordinating with external auditors, responsible for specific areas such as debtors.
- Line managing and delegating work to the Management Accountant.
- Being the main point of contact for the local finance teams in a specific location, by completing quarterly reviews of balance sheets.
- Continuously driving process improvement within the team.
To be considered for this role, candidates must be fully qualified (ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA), with experience of reviewing management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations. You will have a strong technical understanding of FRS 102 and statutory reporting. Applicants will ideally have experience working in an international and multi-currency business, preferably within the professional services sector.
