Job Summary

The Faculty of Science is seeking to appoint a Senior ITTechnician with established Helpdesk, IT Support, communication andinterpersonal skills. The post will require you to work innovatively todeliver services to a wide range of customer groups.

Responsibilities

You will deliver a professional and effective Helpdeskservice, providing first- and second-line IT Support. The role involves working as part of a small team whosupport the Faculty of Science staff and postgraduate students within theUniversity based in multiple buildings in the city centre campus. Thepostholder will be expected to contribute to the day-to-day supportrequirements as requested by customers, respond to incidents that arise, andwork on projects as and when they are commissioned. It is an exciting andfast-paced environment in which to work. You will be required to work withother teams within the Faculty IT Team as well as liaising with specialist ITteams within the central Information Services Directorate (ISD).

Qualifications

Excellent interpersonal skills, an HNC/HND or equivalentin an IT related discipline, IT Support experience, and knowledge ofMicrosoft operating systems and Office are essential.
