Senior Group Reporting Accountant
Location: Hybrid – 2-3 days per week in Glasgow office
Salary: 400- 415 Umbrella

About the Role

This is a key position within the Group Reporting team, responsible for delivering accurate and timely statutory financial reporting, including the Annual Report and Accounts and Interim Results Statement for a FTSE-listed group. You will take ownership of key areas of the Group financial statements and play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing financial controls and processes.

Working closely with senior finance leadership and external auditors, you’ll support technical accounting projects, group consolidation, and subsidiary reporting. You’ll also contribute to the implementation of UK SOX requirements and provide expertise on financial reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review disclosures and supporting notes within the Group’s consolidated financial statements.
  • Lead the audit process for assigned areas of the Group and specific subsidiary entities.
  • Become a super-user of the Group’s accounts production software (Thomson-Reuters OneSource), supporting business unit users.
  • Support complex accounting projects, including M&A activity and system upgrades.
  • Ensure financial statements comply with IFRS, governance requirements, and internal controls, including UK SOX.

What We’re Looking For

  • Fully qualified accountant (CA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with 5+ years post-qualified experience in financial reporting or external audit.
  • Experience with listed plc reporting and consolidation requirements highly desirable.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with up-to-date IFRS and corporate governance expertise.
  • Ability to work independently under pressure, managing multiple complex deliverables.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; experience with Thomson-Reuters OneSource is a plus.
  • Highly analytical with a focus on continuous improvement.
