Job Description
Our client, a leader in the defence and security sector, is seeking a Senior Engineer – Electrical to join their team on a contract basis within the Naval Ships business unit. This position will be based at Scotstoun with hybrid work arrangements available, requiring attendance 1-2 days per week on-site. The contract duration is 12 months.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing and overseeing LV Distribution, QPS and Electrical Safety
- Designing and maintaining LV Protection Systems and Earthing Systems
- Executing LV Cabling and Cable routing tasks
- Handling Converted Supplies
- Supervising Portable Apparatus and Domestic Supplies
- Providing Aviation Support
- Implementing general and specialised lighting solutions
- Ensuring the integrity of Hull Preservation Systems
- Managing Degaussing tasks
Job Requirements:
- Experience in electrical engineering within the defence sector
- Proficiency in LV Distribution, QPS and Electrical Safety
- Knowledge of LV Protection Systems and Earthing Systems
- Familiarity with LV Cabling and Cable routing
- Understanding of Converted Supplies and Portable Apparatus
- Experience with Aviation Support systems
- Expertise in lighting solutions, both general and specialised
- Skills in managing Hull Preservation Systems
- Understanding of Degaussing
