Senior Electrical Engineer – Glasgow or Edinburgh
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead the delivery of electrical and EICA design packages across a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater projects. You will take ownership of technical delivery, mentor junior engineers, and play a key role in projects that shape the future of the water industry.
Responsibilities
- Deliver electrical and EICA designs from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design and construction support.
- Produce and review electrical calculations, Single Line Diagrams, Block Cable Diagrams, Network Infrastructure Diagrams and technical specifications.
- Develop control philosophies and support technical governance across projects.
- Lead technical workshops, design reviews and site investigations.
- Work closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams to deliver coordinated engineering solutions.
- Mentor graduate and junior engineers while supporting technical excellence across the team.

About You – Essential
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Significant experience delivering electrical or EICA design within water or comparable infrastructure sectors.
- Experience producing and reviewing technical documentation, calculations and specifications.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering standards and design principles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience mentoring engineers and working within multidisciplinary project teams.
Desirable
- Chartered or Incorporated Engineer, or actively working towards professional registration.
- Experience facilitating HAZOPs and technical design reviews.
- Knowledge of DSEAR requirements.
- Experience working with UK water utility clients.
