Senior CE&I Engineer
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior EC&I Engineer to join a major, highly regulated engineering programme.
Working as part of an established EC&I engineering team, you will provide technical expertise across the design, construction and commissioning lifecycle, with particular responsibility for the delivery of complex machinery and control system packages.
The position will suit an experienced engineer with a strong background in industrial control systems, electrical design and commissioning, who is comfortable taking ownership of technically challenging engineering activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary EC&I team to develop and deliver engineering design packages supporting the construction and commissioning of complex machinery and associated control systems.
- Develop practical solutions to technically complex engineering issues, working alongside the Lead Engineer where required.
- Control System Specifications
- Shutdown Cause & Effect documentation
- Technical Datasheets
- Technical Requisitions for long-lead equipment
- Review and check EC&I design deliverables, including:
- Cable Block Diagrams
- Cable Routing Drawings
- Cable Schedules
- Termination Diagrams
- Identify technical discrepancies or deviations and raise appropriate technical queries to ensure issues are effectively resolved.
- Support and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Participate in multidisciplinary Engineering Design Reviews and provide EC&I input through to the satisfactory close-out of actions
