Job Description

Senior Carer – Domiciliary Care

Location: Glasgow Salary: £23,500 per annum (rising to £24,500 after 6 months probation) Hours: Full-Time, 7:00am – 10:00pm (shifts with breaks) Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (minimum 3 days one week, 4 the next – flexible rota) Contract: Permanent Sponsorship: Not available

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred care to service users in their own homes
  • Lead and support junior care staff on shift
  • Assist with medication administration and accurate record keeping
  • Carry out care plan reviews and report changes in service user condition
  • Maintain compliance with safeguarding and care standards
  • Work flexibly across a 4 on 4 off rota pattern

Requirements

  • NVQ / SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care – essential
  • Previous experience in a senior carer or supervisory role
  • Full UK driving licence – essential
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Reliable, compassionate, and professional approach
  • Commutable Areas Glasgow, Paisley, Rutherglen, Cambuslang, Motherwell, Hamilton, East Kilbride and surrounding areas.
