We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing large-scale bridge repair projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage large-scale bridge repair and rehabilitation projects.
– Oversee project planning, design, and execution, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
– Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
– Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify repair needs and develop appropriate solutions.
– Prepare detailed project reports, schedules, and budgets.
– Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and team members.
– Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to on-site.
Required Skills and Experience:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
– Professional Engineer (PE) license or Chartered Engineer status.
– Extensive experience in bridge engineering, with a focus on large-scale repair and rehabilitation projects.
– Strong project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
– Excellent knowledge of bridge design codes, standards, and best practices.
– Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
– Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities.
