We are proud to be supporting a forward thinking and rapidly growing accountancy practice in their search for a Business Services Senior Accountant to join their expanding team.

As Business Services Senior Accountant, you will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients, delivering high quality accounting and tax services while also supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members. This is a hands on role offering strong technical exposure across accounts, tax and advisory work.
Key Responsibilities Accounts and Technical Delivery
- Prepare statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients
- Prepare corporation tax returns in line with relevant legislation
- Support personal tax return preparation for a range of clients
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting and tax standards
- Work closely with managers to deliver high quality client outputs
Client Management
- Act as a point of contact for clients across accounting and tax matters
- Communicate effectively with SME owners, finance directors and trustees
- Support clients with day to day accounting and compliance queries
- Build and maintain strong, long term client relationships
Team Management
- Support, mentor and review work produced by junior team members
- Provide feedback and guidance to support development of junior staff
- Work collaboratively with managers and wider team members
- Promote a positive, supportive and high performing team culture
Portfolio and Delivery Support
- Manage your own client workload across accounts and tax assignments
- Ensure deadlines are met and work is delivered to a high standard
- Take initiative in resolving technical and client related issues
- Maintain strong attention to detail across all outputs
Business Development and Expansion
- Support the continued growth of the firm through high quality client service
- Identify opportunities to add value to clients where appropriate
- Contribute to a forward thinking and commercially aware team culture
- Play a role in the development of the business where appropriate
Requirements
- Experience in general practice accounting and tax
- Strong experience preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
- Experience with personal tax return preparation
- Experience reviewing work and supporting junior team members
- Strong communication skills and client facing experience
- High level of attention to detail and strong IT skills
- Proactive, motivated and able to show initiative
