Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Section Engineer to oversee and manage a defined earthworks section of works on a major civil engineering project. The role involves ensuring technical compliance, coordinating site activities, and maintaining quality and safety standards across all operations.
Key Responsibilities

Project Delivery:
- Manage and supervise a section of works, ensuring adherence to design, specifications, and programme.
- Coordinate with Setting Out Engineers and site teams to ensure accurate execution of works.

Technical Oversight:
- Review drawings, specifications, and method statements for assigned section.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve on-site issues promptly.

Quality Assurance & Documentation:
- Maintain and update Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Prepare and review site diaries, progress reports, and as-built records.

Site Coordination:
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow.
- Attend and contribute to site meetings, ensuring clear communication of requirements.

Health & Safety:
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Promote a safe working environment and address any hazards immediately.
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Proven experience as a Section Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of earthworks, setting out, and construction methodologies.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and surveying instruments.
