Job Description

Housekeeping Assistant – Seasonal

We are seeking a lively and attentive Housekeeping Assistant to join our welcoming Housekeeping team at The Machrie. This seasonal full time position runs from May to October and requires 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Work through allocated bedrooms and suites in a timely manner.
  • Ensure guests always find clean and inviting accommodation.
  • Follow procedures for signing keys in and out daily.
  • Keep corridors and common spaces clean and clutter-free.
  • Maintain clean and tidy linen cupboards.
  • Follow all health and safety, manual handling and COSHH procedures.
  • Assist new team members with training and development.
  • Collaborate with team to support efficient operations.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong guest focus.
  • Experience in housekeeping or a similar role.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Availability to work weekends.
  • Valid driving licence (essential).
  • Access to personal transport.
  • Experience of island living or equivalent (desirable).
