Job Details
As a School Crossing Patrol Officer, you will play a vital role in community safety by ensuring children and other members of the community safely cross the road at a designated point between specified times.
Hours are mainly 08:20am to 09:15am and 2:50pm to 3:25pm.
Responsibilities
Ensure safe crossing of children and other community members at designated points during school opening and closing times, including attending at short notice in case of unscheduled school closures. Attend daily at school opening and closing times in all weather conditions.
Qualifications
No formal qualifications are required. Requirements include: ability to work in all weather conditions, good road sense, knowledge of the Highway Code/Green Cross Code, and previous experience working with children is desirable.
