Overview
Staff Nurse Ward 112 – Inpatient Haematology. 22.2 hour fixed-term post (14 months). We have a vacancy for a part-time Staff Nurse in Ward 112 Haematology Inpatients. We provide highly specialised care for patients with a range of haematological conditions. The care is varied, busy and highly rewarding with patients receiving high intensity chemotherapy, stem cell transplantation, supportive and holistic care and acutely unwell unscheduled care. The Anchor Unit as a whole is sociable, fast moving and progressive; actively supporting and promoting nurse led activities, development and further study; offering excellent opportunities for both professional and personal development.
Responsibilities
- Work 12 hour shifts with the ability to work day and night duty.
- Provide a high standard of person-centred care to individuals and be forward thinking with regards to change management.
- Contribute to the delivery of care for patients undergoing high intensity chemotherapy, stem cell transplantation, and other haematology services as part of a busy inpatient unit.
Qualifications and Development
- Haematology/oncology experience is desirable but not essential.
- If not currently on the SACT register, undertake a chemotherapy module. Training, funding and support are provided to undertake this.
