About the Role:
As a Sand Blaster, you’ll play a vital role in preparing metal parts-ranging from small components to large fabrications-for the finishing process. You’ll be working inside a dedicated blast room and will be responsible for ensuring all components are thoroughly cleaned and prepared to the highest standard.
? Key Responsibilities:
- Work to specific production schedules and deadlines
- Pick and assemble kits of parts using checklists
- Load and unload items for blasting
- Operate and maintain blasting equipment, including checking and changing filters, nozzles, and dust extraction units
- Keep your workspace clean, tidy, and safe
- Adhere strictly to company safety procedures and wear all required PPE
- Communicate clearly and effectively with team members
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Sand blasting experience preferred, but not essential – full training provided
- Licences: Valid forklift and/or overhead crane licences desirable
- Skills:
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Willingness to learn and take ownership of the role
