Location: West Calder (Covering Central Belt Predominantly)
Salary: Up to £35k Basic + Bonus (Performance Led)
Talento Group is recruiting for our client in West Calder who are a leading provider of DIY and Building products. As a Sales Representative, you’ll have the opportunity to represent their brand, build relationships with customers, and drive sales in the DIY and building products market.
Sales Representative Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales, excellent communication skills, and ideally a strong understanding of the DIY and building products industry. This role offers the opportunity to work independently, manage a diverse customer base, and contribute to the growth and success of our business.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers within the assigned territory.
- Promote and sell our range of DIY and building products, including tools, materials, and equipment, to meet sales targets and objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and lead generation activities.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and logistics, to ensure customer needs are met and orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to effectively position our products and services in the marketplace.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and other administrative tasks as required by management.
- Proven track record of success in B2C and B2B sales, preferably within the DIY, construction, or building products industry.
- Strong understanding of DIY and building products, including knowledge of materials, tools, and construction techniques.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with customers.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Ability to travel within the assigned territory and possess a valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
