Job Title: Sales Assistant – Casual

Reporting to: Store Manager

Department: Retail

Hibernian Football Club has created a football structure and strategy that is performance driven and encourages all players and staff to maximise their ability and potential.

The Sales Assistants will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional fan experience by supporting front line sales activity, maximising revenue opportunities and maintaining high retail standards throughout the store. The role includes assisting customers with purchases, promoting Club merchandise, and ensuring efficient back of house operations, including stock management, replenishment and visual presentation.

As a key ambassador for the Club, the Sales Assistant will deliver outstanding customer service to supporters and visitors, helping to create a welcoming, engaging and professional retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to all supporters and customers
  • Assist customers with product selection, sizing and purchases
  • Operate tills and handle transactions accurately
  • Replenish stock and maintain high visual merchandising standards
  • Keep the store clean, organised and presentable at all times
  • Support matchday retail operations and promotional events
  • Assist with stock deliveries, pricing and inventory checks
  • Promote Club products, memberships and special offers where appropriate
  • Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally
  • Follow all Club policies relating to health & safety, security and customer service

Skills & Experience

  • Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Friendly, approachable and confident manner
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and matchdays
  • Reliable, punctual and well presented
  • Cash handling and till experience desirable
  • Interest in football and knowledge of the club is advantageous but not required
