Sales Account Manager
Purpose of the Position
To achieve Sales targets and increase profitability of the M & E Sector, through effective account management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent the company by developing and managing a portfolio of major/key accounts, by maintaining effective relationships.
- Initiate sales and attain the company s sales objectives.
- Effectively present, communicate and negotiate with customers demonstrating good product / technical knowledge.
- Develop positive working relationships with customers, acting as a point of contact and handling customers individual needs, e.g. enquiries and orders.
- Resolve disputes / queries and provide solutions to customers in a timely manner.
- Accurately forecast projects updating relevant systems, ensuring full knowledge and understanding of construction timescales.
- Attend industry networking events and exhibitions.
- Proactively deal with customer project enquiries, working in collaboration with internal teams to provide an effective solution that meets the customers needs, resulting in obtaining sales target.
- Effectively manage diary ensuring a balance between administrative duties and customer facing appointments.
- Completion of required administrative tasks.
- Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Mentor new members of the team.
Specific Skill Requirements:
Essential:
- Experience of working with M & E consultants / contractors.
- Ability to manage a project from conception to conclusion.
- Proficient in Microsoft office and ideally lighting software namely; Relux and/or Dialux.
- Ability to effectively present to client
- Lighting or electrical knowledge
- Able to close deals.
- Full driving license
Desirable:
Proficient in the application of Autocad
Lighting Control experience
Geographical knowledge of M&E customer base on region
Experience in a lighting or electrical sales role.
