Join Scotstown Medical Group – GP Opportunities in Aberdeen.

Scotstown Medical Group is a progressive, multi-site GP practice serving over 22,500 patients across our Scotstown and New Dyce practices in Aberdeen. We are currently seeking to recruit a Salaried GP (4-8 sessions) and a GP Locum (4-6 sessions) to join our friendly, supportive and experienced clinical team.

Operating under BMA Safe Working Principles, we offer 15-minute appointments, an above-average session rate, and a collaborative approach to general practice.

Our practices utilise Vision as our clinical system and Engage Consult for patient triage. While digital triage supports patient access, traditional face-to-face consultations remain central to our model of care.
As accredited GP Training Practices, we are actively involved in developing the next generation of GPs and have a strong culture of learning, teamwork and professional support.

As a GP Training Practice, we pride ourselves on supporting our clinicians. Newly qualified GPs are allocated a named GP mentor who is available for guidance, clinical advice, and informal support as you transition into independent practice.

Our Clinical Team

You will be joining a well-established multidisciplinary team comprising:

• 6 GP Partners
• 7 Salaried GPs
• 5 Advanced Nurse Practitioners
• 5 Practice Nurses
• 2 Healthcare Assistants
• MSK Physiotherapist
• Physician Associate
• In-house Pharmacy Team
• Additional PCIP support services

Salaried GP

Due to partial retirement, we are recruiting a Salaried GP for 4-8 sessions per week. We would particularly welcome applications from GPs with interests in geriatrics, mental health, women’s health procedures or musculoskeletal medicine.

GP Locum

We are also seeking a 4-6 session GP Locum to support our expanding GP Registrar training programme, providing cover for GP Trainers and contributing to an enthusiastic and forward-thinking practice team.
