Job Description

Overview

A Safety Coach is sought for our Quayside & Warehousing business. This role provides health, safety and environmental support and guidance in relation to operational activities. The aim is to foster a positive health and safety culture on site, increase HSE awareness and safe behaviours during operations, and ensure legal, client-specific and site requirements are adhered to.

Primary base is Aberdeen with regular travel to Edzell.

Responsibilities

  • Provide health, safety and environmental support and guidance related to operational activities.
  • Contribute to a positive health and safety culture on site; increase HSE awareness and behaviour during operations; ensure legal, client-specific and site requirements are followed at all times.
  • Collaborate to maintain compliance with all relevant requirements and standards.
  • Coach employees to improve safety practices within the workplace.
  • Interface with stakeholders at all levels to promote strong HSE performance.
  • Report to the Senior HSE Advisor.

Qualifications

  • Previous relevant experience in a similar role and/or significant recent operational experience within Quayside / Warehousing businesses.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels; a commitment to health and safety; proven ability to coach people within the workplace.
