We are looking to recruit a new retail supervisor for our shop in Cumnock, East Ayrshire. We offer a permanent full time 39 hour position working a variety of shifts, 5 days a week.

Pay & Benefits

We offer an hourly pay rate of £13.61 and guarantee a minimum of 39 hours per week, which means a minimum earnings of £530 per week. Overtime may be available.

Responsibilities

• Be an important part of the management team and support the manager in leading the team to run an efficient shop and provide great service to customers.
• Take full responsibility for running the shop in the manager’s absence, ensuring customers are looked after, deliveries are worked quickly and shop routines are completed to maintain a safe, clean and tidy shop.
• Open and close the shop, handle cash, place orders and develop your team of retail assistants.
• Take responsibility for the control of operational costs including shrinkage, waste and payroll.

Qualifications & Requirements

• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• To be a ‘people person’ who finds it easy to get on everyone and is able to build strong working relationships.
• Trustworthy and reliable – your team and customers will depend on you to do your job to the best of your ability at all times.
• Experience as a supervisor, team leader or manager in retail or similar industries is desirable but not essential.
• Successful completion of an Employment Verification check and a Basic DBS check (England/Wales) or Disclosure Scotland check (Scotland) if the role is offered.
