Retail Store Manager – Aberdeen
We are seeking a commercially minded and inspiring Retail Store Manager to lead a dynamic team within a showroom environment. This position requires a proactive and people-focused leader who can drive sales, elevate team performance, and deliver exceptional customer service.
You will be responsible for the overall success of the store, setting clear expectations, and nurturing a culture of continuous improvement and high achievement. Through your leadership, the team will be empowered to exceed customer expectations and sales targets, supported by a strong training ethos and a highly motivational approach.
In return for your dedication, you will benefit from an industry-leading, uncapped bonus scheme with a realistic on-target earning of up to £55,000 per annum.
Key Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of showroom performance, with full responsibility for hitting and exceeding sales targets.

Inspire and coach your team to maintain a high-performance culture focused on results and excellent customer care.

Regularly provide coaching, training, and feedback to support the development of sales advisors and assistant managers.

Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent by delivering a structured and engaging induction experience.

Maintain full compliance across key operational areas including health and safety, data protection, financial processes, and regulatory standards.

Ensure the showroom is always well presented, welcoming, and compliant with all trading requirements and promotional campaigns.

Provide expert guidance to customers across a wide product range, ensuring a tailored and consultative shopping experience.

Promote and utilise omnichannel tools and digital platforms to support customer decision-making and increase engagement.

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring all activity is aligned with best practice and operational efficiency.

Work with merchandising and visual presentation teams to ensure displays are up to date and optimised for customer appeal.

Hold regular team meetings to share updates, address challenges, and align colleagues with business goals.

Analyse sales trends and performance data to identify growth opportunities and implement effective strategies.
Skills and Experience

Experience managing a high-performing retail store, ideally in a furniture or big-ticket environment.

Proven ability to lead and develop a sales-driven team within a target-led setting.

A hands-on leader who sets the tone on the shop floor and leads by example.

Excellent communication and people-management skills with the ability to inspire confidence and commitment.

Familiarity with relevant compliance standards, including FCA, GDPR, health and safety, and financial processes.

Commercially astute with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable business plans.

Working Hours
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week across 5 out of 7 days, including weekends. One weekend off is provided in every six-week rota cycle.
This position may be ideal for individuals with experience as a Sales Manager, Branch Manager, Showroom Manager, or similar leadership roles within retail.
