Senior Sales Assistant – 160 High Street, Portobello, EH15 1AH
You will be given various shifts – which will change week to week and will include weekends (when rostered on) – between 5am and 4:15pm, any 5 days from 7.
20 hours per week (although additional hours may be available).
£13.61 per hour plus an excellent benefits package.
What your key responsibilities are:
- Prepare and serve customers with a range of hot and cold bakery and food to go products.
- Set up and maintain counter and window displays in line with guidelines.
- Deal with customer pre orders and process payment and paperwork accordingly.
- Take payment for goods using electronic tills and process cash and card payments.
- Stock shelves with products.
- Answer queries from customers.
- Give advice and guidance on products to customers.
- Report discrepancies and problems to the management team.
- Clean the shop & facilities.
Ideally you will have:
- Previous food retailing experience / Food to Go.
- Great communication skills.
- A positive, resilient attitude.
- Cash handling experience / working touch screen tills (we’ll teach you).
- Flexibility with hours and availability between 5am and 4:15pm, Monday to Sunday any 5 days from 7.
