Job Title: Nurse Functional Assessor

Location: Inverness

Salary: £39,500 per annum

Job Type: Hybrid Permanent/ Mon-Fri, 9-5 hours

We re looking for registered adult or mental health nurses who enjoy making a difference in people’s lives every day.

You will carry out assessments to understand how a person s disability or health condition affects their daily life and produce factual reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person’s disability or health condition affects their daily life
  • Produce Work Capability Assessment (WCA) reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine a person s eligibility for benefits
  • Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with the support of regular feedback and supervision

What we look for:

  • An NMC-registered adult or mental health nurse with at least 1 year s broad post-registration experience in the UK
  • A proactive and keen learner with excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Someone comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports
  • An expert clinician comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including complex cases and mental health conditions
