Job Title: Refrigeration Engineer (Ad-Hoc)

Location: Offshore, various UKCS locations

Compensation:

  • Base Salary: £40,000 per annum.
  • Offshore Uplift: £130.40 per day (including holiday pay).
  • Offshore Overtime: £31.57 per hour (up to a maximum of 8 hours per shift).
  • Nightshift Allowance: £27.56 per shift.
  • Onshore Uplift: £9.93 per day.
  • Holiday Pay: Based on 161 days worked, total annual holiday pay entitlement is £7,030.80.
  • Travel Expenses:
    • Food and accommodation covered for the night prior to offshore deployment when arriving in Aberdeen.
    • Lunch allowance: Up to £9.50 per day.
    • Evening meal allowance: Up to £20.00 per day.
    • Hotel accommodation: Up to £75.00 per night.

Job Overview for Refrigeration Engineer:
Heels & Brogues Recruitment are seeking a skilled and motivated Refrigeration Engineer to join our clients team on an ad-hoc basis. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical abilities, particularly in fault-finding, and a desire to excel in a challenging yet rewarding industry. Previous offshore experience is not essential as further training and progression opportunities will be provided to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities for Refrigeration Engineer:

  • Service, maintain, repair, install, and commission refrigeration systems.
  • Conduct surveys, inspections, and investigations.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of work, including updates to clients’ CMMS and F-Gas logs.
  • Submit daily and trip reports to the Line Manager and Maintenance Team Leader.

Who We Are Looking For a Refrigeration Engineer:

  • A time-served apprenticeship and/or experience in working with Refrigeration Systems.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (Service & Maintenance) (SCQF Level 5 and above).
  • City & Guilds 2079 Cat1. F-Gas and ODS Regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC Systems.
  • Familiarity with IEE Wiring Regulations.
  • Flexibility to respond to short-notice call-offs and to travel to various offshore locations.
  • Positive attitude towards work and commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
  • Self-motivated, client-focused team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
