Job Title: Quantity Surveyor

Project: Power Transmission Framework

Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a permanent basis. You will play a pivotal role in a brand-new multi-million pound Power Transmission Framework project. Your expertise will be key to the success of this venture, and they are eager to welcome an experienced professional to their team.
Role Details:
- Duration: You will initially be based in the head office on the outskirts of Glasgow. Following this, you will be required to work on site in Dounreay as required.
All accommodation and travel expenses will be covered by the contractor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the commercial aspects of power sector projects, ensuring strict cost control and budgeting.
- Collaborate with teams for accurate cost forecasting, financial reporting, and procurement strategies.
- Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify savings and efficiencies.
- Administer contracts and effectively manage subcontractor relationships.
- Provide expert advice on contractual issues, resolve disputes, and mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying.
- Proven experience in the construction or power sector as a Quantity Surveyor.
- In-depth understanding of construction contracts and procurement.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and collaborative skills.
- Professional accreditation (RICS, CIOB) is desirable but not required.
