Job Description
We are supporting an established and technically complex engineering and manufacturing organisation in Whitburn with the appointment of a Quality Manager.
This is a senior leadership role within a multi-division environment covering manufacturing, project delivery, service and specialist testing operations. The position forms a key part of the management team, ensuring quality standards support both compliance and operational performance.
The Role

Provide leadership and strategic direction to the Quality function across multiple business units

Maintain and enhance integrated management systems

Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and relevant industry standards

Interpret customer specifications and regulatory requirements, communicating impact across the organisation

Lead internal audit programmes and supplier qualification audits

Drive structured root cause analysis and corrective action processes

Support Management of Change (MoC) and formal risk assessment activities

Provide quality input into tenders and contract documentation

Deliver quality performance reporting and statistical analysis to senior management

Act as a proactive member of the leadership team, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
About You

Degree qualified or equivalent in Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline

Lead Auditor certified (ISO 9001 essential; ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 desirable)

Strong understanding of regulated engineering or heavy manufacturing environments

Significant experience leading a Quality function within a comparable manufacturing or capital equipment setting

Commercially aware with the ability to influence cross-functionally
