Join us on our journey and you will too About this opportunity Everyday Banking is a key platform for Lloyds Banking Group with a very broad reach across the Bank’s customer base and a diverse stakeholder group. The platform is responsible for the end-to-end journeys for personal current accounts and savings products to consumers and providing a market leading customer experience through the servicing of Debit and Credit cards via multiple channels.We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our Everyday Banking Platform, taking ownership of Quality Engineering delivery across within a multi-skilled feature team and across the lab. You’ll collaborate closely to ensure products meet customer requirements and deliver exceptional quality. What you’ll do Software Testing – Apply advanced testing techniques, including risk-based approaches, and clearly communicate testing strategies to stakeholders, ensuring transparency around any associated risks. Automation Development – Build robust automation suites in JavaScript/TypeScript using the LBG automation framework. Solve complex framework issues and extend existing frameworks where needed. Hands-on experience with mobile testing and automation, preferably programming skills in JS and familiarity with Appium framework DevOps Integration – Embed automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Inspect and compare branches containing automation code, and roll back changes when necessary. Automation Test Strategy – Implement the defined Automation Test Strategy for applications within your feature team. Exploratory Testing & Mentorship – Perform exploratory testing and coach colleagues on best practices to ensure products are fit for purpose. Non-Functional Testing – Design and execute complex non-functional tests based on defined requirements. API Testing & Reporting – Create, execute, and report test cases via API using the LBG test management system. What you’ll need Proven experience in mobile and web automation testing using tools such as Playwright and Appium respectively. Proven experience in API/Microservice test automation using tools such as Karate or RestAssured. Strong skills in Java, JavaScript/Typescript, or equivalent programming languages. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub, Jenkins). Agile delivery experience and familiarity with Jira and Confluence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage business stakeholders effectively. It would be great if you also had: Performance testing using tools like LoadRunner, JMeter, or equivalent. Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and public cloud platforms, currently focused on GCP. Security testing using tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, or similar.
