Quality Engineer FTC
Location: Glenrothes, Scotland
Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract 4-day week (37 hours)
A leading defence and aerospace technology provider is seeking a contract Quality Engineer to support First Article Inspections and wider quality activities on complex, high-profile programmes.
You’ll be working within a fast-paced engineering environment, ensuring compliance to AS9102 and ISO9001 standards. Your role will involve performing FAIRs, supporting root cause investigations, maintaining quality records, and assisting with audits and compliance.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Strong understanding of FAIRs to AS9102
- Background in quality engineering for electronics or mechanical assemblies
- Knowledge of technical drawings and AS9100 / ISO 9001 standards
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Confident in raising quality issues and identifying process improvements
Desirable:
- Aerospace or defence sector experience
- Degree or equivalent experience
- Familiar with Q-Pulse or similar QMS tools
