Quality Engineer

We are working with a key client who are part of a larger group and are a complementary manufacturing businesses serving energy, defence, and other industrial sectors. They operate cutting edge technology and the manufactured components are used onshore and offshore in some of the harshest environments. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Engineer to join this business in Dundee.

Key skills required for the Quality Engineer:

  • Must have over 4 years working experience as a Quality Engineer
  • +3 years working in Precision engineering and/or Quality background
  • Must have ability to use various handheld inspection measuring tools and equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, shadowgraphs etc.
  • Understanding of modern CNC machining manufacturing processes and familiarity with process tooling and fixtures
  • Working knowledge of CMM s would be desirable
  • Any experience of Root Cause Analysis and obtain Corrective Action closure on internal and customer quality concerns will be an advantage
  • Use of appropriate quality tools Six-Sigma, 5Ys, 8D, 5s and Continuous Improvement will be beneficial
  • Must be accurate in both word processing and data inputting

The successful Quality Engineer will manage, drive and develop the Quality department, drive and accelerate the Company quality objectives and improve both internal and external quality. Develop, implement and maintain processes for the Quality Management System (QMS).
