Connect Appointments have a new opportunity for an experienced individual to become a Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Advisor, with our Dalgety Bay based engineering client.
What’s on offer?
- Full-time permanent opportunity – 37.5 hours per week
- Monday to Thursday
- 35,000 to 38,000 per annum (DOE)
Working as a QHSE Advisor your role will be to verify and validate that all product specifications have been met during the product realisation process, as well as:
- Data Analysis and Reporting
- Assist in the implementation of various improvement activities
- ISO9001 / ISO13485 / ISO45001 / ISO14001 – Carry out internal process and system audits with action follow-up and progression to closure
- Identification, investigation and disposition of non-conforming material through the Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) process
- Ability to carry out Root Cause Analysis, identify corrective and preventative measures and monitor effectiveness
- Monitor Supplier performance in relation to non-conforming product with regular internal / external communications, reviews and follow-up
- Participate in supplier QBRs (or similar) with the production of supporting Quality data to aid the monitoring and measurement of supply chain
- Processing customer concerns through the Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR / 8D) process to completion
- Perform Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) as required
- Support on-site QHSE and IPC610 training activities
To be successful in this role you will have a HNC or equivalent in an engineering/quality related discipline. Combined with an excellent understanding and awareness of Quality Management Systems (ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO14001, ISO45001).
Other key skills, traits and experience include:
- Ability to conduct audits on Business systems and processes to meet ISO standards
- Ability to prepare, analyse and report quality statistics to all levels both internal and external
- A NEBOSH qualification (advantageous)
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- An understanding of quality improvement programmes and IPC electronic assembly knowledge (advantageous)
- An understanding of electronics or proven electronics experience
- Good computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Good MRP knowledge e.g. Javelin, SAP, BaaN
- Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision
