Pupil Support Assistant

Craiglockhart Primary School Salary: £26,806 – £27,032 (pro rata for part time & sessional) Hours: 25 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Craiglockhart Primary School is looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our team as a Pupil Support Assistant. This post may involve personal care working and one to one support with a child. Previous experience working with children would be desirable.

Working hours: Monday – Thursday 9.00am – 3.15pm; Friday 9.00am – 12.15pm.

Responsibilities

Personal care working and one to one support with pupils.

Qualifications

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007.

The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of three months or more outside the UK in the last five years, an overseas criminal record check will be required. The candidate must provide this check. An unconditional offer of employment will be subject to the outcome of both these pre employment checks being deemed satisfactory.
