Job Description
Join us at the forefront of Scotland’s digital future. As a Project Manager leading the Civils and Cabling delivery of a major fibre network build across Aberdeenshire, you’ll take ownership of fast paced, high impact infrastructure projects that are transforming how communities connect.
If you thrive in the field, love solving complex build challenges, and want to lead teams delivering real world results, this role is your next big opportunity.
What We Expect of You
In this position, you will take full ownership of all civil engineering and cabling activities required to deliver a high quality fibre network. You will manage and coordinate the full range of civils works, from excavation and trenching to ducting and reinstatement, ensuring efficient and safe operations throughout the build.
You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing the project to meet time and budget targets, while ensuring full compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. Collaboration will be central to your role as you work closely with design, construction, and operational teams to optimise outcomes.
You will also lead and mentor site supervisors, building a culture of continuous improvement, and you will maintain strong relationships with local authorities and stakeholders to secure permits and approvals that keep the programme on track.
What You Will Bring
To succeed in this role, you will bring solid experience managing civil engineering projects, ideally within the telecommunications or utilities sectors. A strong understanding of fibre network infrastructure and associated construction processes is essential, along with the confidence to manage multiple workstreams and deliver to tight deadlines.
You will be an effective communicator and leader with excellent organisational skills and relevant engineering qualifications or professional certifications that support your expertise.
Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, and other Office applications is required, and a full UK driving licence is essential. Possession of a NRSWA or CSCS card would be advantageous but is not mandatory.
