Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a Project Director for a client of mine to be based in the Aberdeen area. My client is a Tier 1 main contractor with the successful candidate being seconded to a regional public sector investment organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Clients and SFT to understand and scope out the required outcomes of identified and potential Hub projects
- Identify appropriate and affordable funding solutions
- Support translation of local and national policies into business cases and development plans, including place, net zero, inclusive economic growth, digital and any other arising new policies as they emerge
- Coordinate feasibility studies and establish teams as required
- Assess the key risks associated with proposed developments and ensure that these are mitigated or that provision is made to accommodate those risks
- Support and promote the implementation of the Infrastructure Commission
- Provide leadership to project teams to ensure successful delivery over a full range of projects and programmes from initial inception through to on-site delivery
- Establish close and strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
Experience and qualifications
- An understanding of public sector processes and the ability to coordinate Hub activities with those requirements.
- Ability to manage innovation within a highly regulated environment.
- Familiarity with the preparation of business cases and project bidding.
