Job Summary
Project Scheduler/Controller – Advanced Products Unit. Responsible for project planning, risk management and cost control support to production teams, development engineers and senior management, contributing to global security projects at Raytheon UK. Primary work location: Glenrothes and Livingston facilities or hybrid home working. Works with multi disciplinary teams across the UK, Europe and USA.
Responsibilities
- Maintain the integrity of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) ensuring all activities, events and milestones are logically linked and fully resourced in Microsoft Project.
- Evaluate the IMS critical path, schedule risk and variances.
- Progress the project plan and database regularly, providing performance metrics and Estimated Cost to Complete (ETC) for financial reporting and trend analysis at Programme Monthly Review Boards.
- Update the IMS with contractual and programme changes to maintain a realistic baseline plan for Earned Value Management System (EVMS) generation.
- Monitor programme timesheet bookings and investigate unexpected bookings.
- Facilitate the company risk process by holding Programme Risk Review Boards, identifying and documenting risks, opportunities and mitigation actions, and providing analysis and reports.
- Support the Programme Manager, CAMs and Programme Accountant to establish a performance management baseline and budget authorisations for production and development programmes in MSP and internal tools, collating and analysing finance data such as schedule derived Estimates to Complete (ETCs).
- Develop programme Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) and Organisational Breakdown Structures (OBS).
- Support bid and proposal activities by transferring Basis of Estimates to the pricing team.
- Travel to other Raytheon UK sites, including the UK, Europe and USA, as required.
Preferred Candidate Requirements
- Experience in a Project/Programme Control environment.
- Competent in Microsoft Project 2010/13/16 and other Microsoft applications, with a quick ability to learn internal EVM and schedule management tools.
- Strong time management ability and ability to meet deadlines.
- Accurate handling of data across various tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the business.
- Strong IT skills with a capacity to learn new applications.
- Ability to work with diverse project teams and stakeholders.
- Capability to support, guide and influence project teams to ensure programmes conform to Raytheon standard practices and processes.
- Commercial and business awareness in complex project environments.
- Experience working with multi disciplined teams across geographically dispersed sites.
