Overview

Brightwork has a great opportunity for Production Operatives to join a busy Fish Processing Factory in Lerwick, Shetland Islands. The role is a 6 month contract, with consistent hours, a chance to experience island life, and a competitive compensation package.

Key points:

  • Pay rate: £13.45 per hour (guaranteed 40 hours per week)
  • Overtime: £20.18 per hour after 40 hours
  • Contract length: 6 months
  • Travel: Flight or ferry to and from the island is fully paid
  • Accommodation: Quality local accommodation available close to site

Responsibilities

  • Operating processing machinery safely and efficiently
  • Cleaning and preparing fish to the required standards
  • Grading products to meet customer specifications
  • Packing finished goods accurately
  • Maintaining high product quality standards
  • Following strict hygiene, food safety and health & safety procedures

Qualifications

  • Reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Comfortable working in a fast paced environment
  • Flexible to work overtime when required
  • Able to work well as part of a team
  • Positive, can do attitude
